Jiffy Armwarmers

The Armwarmers are knit flat and then sewn together – an ideal project for novice knitters! The length can be adjusted to your likes, and you can add decorative buttons or embroidery to give your armwarmers a special touch.
Materials
- 50g Quick by Lana Grossa in black
(50% Wool, 50% Acrylic; ~136 yards/50g) - a pair of 5mm [US 8] needles
- a darning needle
Gauge
In stockinette stitch knit with 5mm [US 8] needles, 15 stitches and 24 rows equal 10cm (4″).

Instructions
Cast on 38 stitches with 5mm [US 8] needles.
Row 1: p1, *k2, p2*, k1b
(repeat the part between the two * 18 times)
Repeat row 1 until armwarmers measure desired length. (The armwarmers in the picture measure 29cm (12″).
Bind off all stitches in pattern (knit the knits and purl the purls).
Finishing
Sew the sides using the mattress stitch. Leave a 2,5cm (1″) hole for the thumb after 4cm (1.5″).
Weave in ends.
